Mrs. Alice J. Foulkes, a resident of this city for the past 28 years, died at her home 408 Sheridan Ave, Thursday evening at 6:50 o'clock. Paralysis caused her death. She had been ill about two weeks.

She was born July 14, 1866 in Putnam County, the daughter of Milton and Lucie J. Earp. She was married Dec 23, 1886 to Joseph E. Foulkes. Mrs. Foulkes belonged to the Christian Church here and was a prominent member of the Eastern Star and Tribe of Ben-Hur.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Ruth; her mother, Mrs. Lucie J. Swearingen of this city and one sister, Mrs. Cora Wilson of Kansas CIty. One sister, Dollie E. Butcher, preceded her in death 8 years ago. The funeral services will be conducted from the Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Ray Tomas. Burial will be made in the family lot at the Masonic Cemetery.
